Youth Ministry

The St. Andrew Youth Ministry prides itself in its various traditional activities, i.e. the Easter Egg Hunt, SAYA, Marian Concert, Lenten Recollection, Christmas get-together and English Camp among others. The youth also renders services to other ministries/organizations (Children’s Choir, Ministry of Altar Servers, SARC youth, Columbian Squires, Legion of Mary Junior Praesidium, St. Andrew Dramatics, PREX, Ministry of Church Greeters and Collectors etc) in the parish.

The monthly St. Andrew Youth Assembly (SAYA) since its inception in 2007, continues to draw the parish’s youth closer. It is here that the talents and creativity of the youth are unleashed with well thought and planned activites to include prayers, praising, reflections, games and listening to speakers on various youth-oriented topics. As in the Tagalog word SAYA,  meaning happy, the gathering has made the parish’s youth blend into the community in a joyful and meaningful way.

The ministry is in an “unceasing mode” in looking out for young dedicated parishioners who will cherish and carry on with the work of both past and present parish’ youth generations. This is manifested in the logo adopted by the ministry in the year 2005, that of a fish and a hook, signifying its motto: “Young Fishers of Christ.”
