Discipline is an important part of everyone’s life.  Yet, for a long time, it has been neglected by many parents, and many adherent of “progressive” education.

It is little wonder that in recent years, behavioral psychologists have begun calling for a return to “old-fashioned” principle of discipline as part of teaching process at home, in school and in church.  If children are raised right, they will be inclined to live right.

On the last Saturday of June, June 25, 2016, the Paeskwela ni San Andres conducted a Fellowship Program spearheadede by the 3rd and 4th year college beneficiaries of the Paeskwela ni San Andres at the Jubilee Hall of the parish. The program began with the opening prayer led by PYM choir member an Paeskwela studeng Jose Bulahan Jr. and after the opening prayer, the participants were divided into 11 groups for the upcoming games. T."he first game was "Pinoy Henyo with a Twist." The original medchanic of the game called for two players who face each other and one of them will guess; while the  other one will be giving the hints. But in this game

, the twist was that the word that is posted or placed in a players forehead will be a scrambled word. The real challenge in this game is that the player who will give the hint should know the word to help his/her teammate. Every group had two representatives and at the end of the game, the two teams that won were the Green team who had guessed the word “BALLPEN” in 1 minute and 15 seconds and the Blue team who guessed the word “WATCH” in 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Dear President Duterte,

The whole nation is watching you sworn into office as the 16th President of the Republic of the Philippines.

Indeed, the presidency is a powerful office – the key office in a democratic state.  You are vested with an array of powers and prerogatives.  These vast powers can either break you or make you.

The Filipino people do not want anymore compromises, nursing deep hatred, cherishing blind loyalty.  We need a transforming leader who rises to the enormity of the nation’s problems, raises the ethical and moral standard of people and create a peaceful environment free from crimes and corruption.

The majority of the citizens have demonstrated their trust in you in the last elections, being the leader who would decide to act, shape events and to walk decisively on the lonely road of greatness.

Mr. President, in time we begin turning the pendulum around us, so we can help build a better, brighter society of which we can all be proud.

May God bless you.

Respectfully,

A Face in the Crowd

While we all appreciate the benefits of technological culture and medical breakthrough, easy travel, digital forum

It is shutting down history.  I am talking about the Manila Bay. Manila Bay is regarded as the best natural harbor in the world. Its beautiful sunset is one of the wonders of the world.
