The heavy drizzle can never stop us from having and giving fun.

As culminating activity for St. Andrew the Apostle Parish’ 47th Fiesta, the PYM organized a Variety show entitled “Handog Saya” last. November 29.

The greatest legacy of a mother to the world is her child. A mother’s greatest accomplishment is to bring up good children who are a delight to the Lord.

Last week on the first  Wednesday, the St. Andrew the Apostle Parish (SAAP) was full. The members of the Shepherding Ministry  came in full force. I believed they were there not only  to attend the healing mass by Monsignor Dennis Odiver,  but to listen to  the homily of a Jesuit deacon, Rev. Peter Mark Lopez, son of Tita Ope.

For those who know Lourdes the very word brings before the mind a host of welcoming pictures and thoughts.  Mary has made it practically an entrance of heaven.
Lourdes is a small mountain town in southern France, at the foot of the Pyrenees.  Here in this Little Town, a baby girl was born receiving the name Marie Bernarde after St. Bernard who loved our Lady with great devotion.  The Baby was fondly called Little Bernarde or Bernadette.
Though very poor, Bernadette’s family was devout and happy, close to God and to our Lady.  Bernadette spent her days on the hillsides caring for the sheep, playing with the lamps, gathering wild flowers and weaving them into garlands.  In the quiet and peace of the hills, she felt close to God and to our Lady.  She kept her rosary with her always, and often during the day would say it over and over.

Dear Heavenly Father, the God who knows us through and through, even before we were born, today we have a reason to rejoice for Msgr. Dennis celebrates the hour when you allowed him to see the first ray of light of this wonderful world you created.  Father, we ask you to lay gently your hands on his shoulders that his joy may be full.  Lord, we know and believe in our hearts, that from birth you have set him apart for a purpose.  You have called him by name to the ministry of priesthood.  We pray, Father, that Mama Mary ever wraps her mantle of love around him and through her intercession strengthen him for the mission you called him to.
